About Steeplemark
Built from Years of Helping Churches See More Clearly
Steeplemark grew out of years spent working with churches in seasons of change, decline, transition, and renewal. Again and again, the same problem showed up: churches often had plenty of information, but no clear way to bring it together and understand what it meant.
Steeplemark was created to help churches see patterns, ask better questions, and make better decisions about what deserves attention next.
About Josh Cook
Dr. Josh Cook has spent more than two decades serving churches as a pastor, consultant, and church revitalization specialist. His work has centered on helping churches understand their current reality, strengthen leadership and ministry processes, and navigate seasons of change with greater clarity.
He holds a Doctor of Ministry in Church Revitalization along with graduate degrees in theology and ministry, and has worked with churches across a wide range of sizes, settings, and stages of health.
Today, Josh serves churches through revitalization work, strategic consulting, and Steeplemark. His approach is practical and straightforward: healthy churches need healthy processes, and good decisions begin with a clear understanding of what is actually happening.
How I Approach Church Health
I do not believe church health can be reduced to attendance, giving, or a single score. Those numbers matter, but they are only part of the story.
Healthy churches tend to have healthy processes: clear leadership, honest communication, meaningful discipleship, trust, appropriate change, and a clear understanding of the community they are called to serve.
That is what Steeplemark is designed to help uncover. The goal is not to tell a church what is wrong with it. The goal is to help leaders see clearly enough to decide what to do next.
